If the thought of a family photo session makes you picture everyone lined up, smiling at the camera, and trying desperately to keep the kids still.. I have good news! That's not really my style!
I want your family session to feel like your family. That means we'll absolutely get those beautiful, traditional portraits where everyone is looking at the camera - I promise! But some of my favorite images happen when we're doing anything but standing still!
Walking together, cuddling, playing, laughing, chasing echoer, or simply talking can created the most genuine photographs. I'll give you direction when you need it, but I also leave plenty of room for your family to interact naturally.
The Sunde Family
was such a great example of this. There were so many different relationships and personalities to capture. Having a location with trails and room to explore gave up plenty of opportunities to move, interact, and let those connections happen naturally.
That's the beauty of a lifestyle family sessions.
You don't have to know how to pose. You just have to show up and be yourself.
