Chatfield Family Welcome Baby l

I was lucky enough to follow Jessica’s birth story as she welcomed her second baby into the world. After a precipitous birth, we decided I would return the following day for her Welcome Baby session at Troy Beaumont.

And when I walked into the room, everything was quiet.

Most Welcome Baby sessions still carry so much newness and excitement that there’s a little buzz in the air. But this session felt different. Baby girl never made a sound. She simply settled into the peacefulness of the room, completely content to be surrounded by her family.

The lighting that day was absolutely perfect — soft and warm, gently washing over her and filling the room with the most beautiful glow. It made every tiny detail feel even more magical.

There was no rush and no need to manufacture a moment. We simply slowed down and documented her exactly as she was: brand new, peaceful, and completely adored.

Sometimes the most beautiful photographs come from the quietest moments. And this sweet girl gave us plenty of those.
